Electric Vehicle Technology
CO2 reduction targets and market demands are accelerating the introduction of Electric Vehicles. However this introduction brings along new challenges and players: new technological challenges to find soltions for extended range and new infrastructural challenges when it comes to charging or grid balacing. for the first time new players like enrgy and utility companies join the automotive industry to develop this infrastructure and vehicle platforms.
The Quicc is a fully new electric car for urban distribution.
An innovative overall concept that fits modern life, with the
powertrain of the future, targeting an application that can
open the market for electric cars. The low weight needed for
electric propulsion is achieved by extensive use of composites.
The complete body, including the floor pan, is mad of composites.
De Quicc has a 3m3 volume for cargo, a top speed of 120 km/h
and a range of 150 km.

The Electric (continuously) Variable Transmission (EVT) is a cost effective transmission concept for reduced fuel consumption, increased comfort and performance. The EVT is ideal for hybrid powertrains. It enables full hybrid functionality including start-stop, regererative braking, boosting and pure electric driving. The concept is currently under development and is protected by several patents.
Projects & programs
HTAS – Electric Vehicle Technologies (EVT) innovation programme
Through the strong cluster organizations that exist in the Netherlands cooperation and rapid development is promoted: ranging from the Electrical Vehicle Technology area of HTAS to the Pilot support from BOM and ATC. All these developments are linked to European projects like EMR and ENEVATE that will contribute to a faster introduction of Electric mobility and strengthening of the regional automotive industry in this field
