The ATC cluster consists of industry, knowledge institutes and related government organisations. The ATC organises knowledge sharing, matchmaking, networking and project initiation events and promotes the Dutch automotive industry at national and international level. The ATC is a participant in the HTAS Innovation Programme and also cooperates with the cluster organisations in Belgium and North Rhine-Westphalia to promote a strong automotive Meuse-Rhine Euregion.

Projects are not only related to historical topics and heritage, but also aimed at the automotive industry. The centre, whose name reflects the international scope of activities, specialises in the automotive field and optimising digital accessibility in all mobility sectors (road, water, air and rail).

The federation acts in the interest of relevant companies and organisations of all levels with the purpose of consolidating the Dutch automotive industry. The goals of FHA are to cluster Dutch automotive companies and organisations that aim at industrial activities and technological development, as well as to stimulate, shape and give contents to a joint industrial policy, supported by both government and industry, for the benefit of the automotive industry in the Netherlands. The HTAS innovation programme has been initiated by FHA.

FIER has been involved in most of the main sector studies and network/cluster initiatives in the automotive industry in the Netherlands for many years. Furthermore, FIER is active in national and international business development projects, subsidy management, European automotive clustering projects and the organisation of automotive trade missions to foreign industries, often on behalf of the EVD (the Dutch agency for international Business and Cooperation, which is part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs).

The programme focuses on driving guidance systems and efficient vehicles. A total of €158 million has been invested, including €42 million by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The aim of HTAS is to improve the competitive position of the Dutch automotive industry in order to generate an extra turnover of €4 billion and an additional 10,000 jobs by 2015.

Nowadays it represents 700 members who are actively involved in all the different aspects of the automotive sector. The supply industry with international (often global) activities is represented on the RAI industry platform. RAI represents its members in relation to the European authorities, the Dutch government and fellow associations. It also represents them in CLEPA, the European Association of Automotive Suppliers, of which the RAI Association is one of the founding members.
