SAFER

In the third workpackage of the European “Green and Safe Road Transportation (GAST)” project, titled “Cluster of Clusters” several opportunities for internodal collaboration were identified, for example between:
- SAFER: The Vehicle and Traffic Safety Centre at Chalmers is a joint research unit where academy, industry and authorities cooperate in the design of future vehicle and traffic safety systems,
- Mo’Veo (F): The French Automotive Cluster, “Private cars & public transport safe for man and his environment”,
- HTAS: The High Tech Automotive Systems is the Dutch Automotive Innovation Programme, empowered by the Ministery of Economic Affairs
- Amtry (USA)
Parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on automotive safety research.
EMR

Goal of the “Euregio Maas-Rhein (EMR)” project is to support the development of the automotive industry in this region by joining the competences of its partners. Consortium consisting of automotive clusterorganisations such as car e.V., Flanders’ Drive, CAW, ATC and ULG and regional development organisations such as AGIT, POM, SPI+ and BOM. Project funded by INTERREG IV-A, started June 2009 and will be completed in June 2012.
ENEVATE

The “European Network on Electric Vehicles And Transferring Expertise (ENEVATE)” project aim is to facilitate and support an accelerated and well informed introduction of electric mobility in Northwest Europe through structured transnational cooperation between public authorities and business representatives. ENEVATE targets electric road vehicles, the energy infrastructure, integrated mobility concepts, will demonstrate the potentials through pilot actions and will enable other actors to.
Consortium members: ATC (NL, lead partner), One NorthEast (UK), Bayern Innovative (G), Autocluster NRW (G), Region of Nordhessen (G), Welsh Automotive Forum (UK), Pole vehicle du future (F), Campus Automobile de Francorchamps (B), Birmingham Chamber of Commerce (UK), EMPA (CH), Dublin Institute of Technology (IR)
ENEVATE was submitted in the 5th call of the INTERREG IV-B programme and is planned to start 1st January 2010.
